Did you notice the bent valve then? It seems extremely odd for it to bend on it's own. What is your idea behind what happened. Sounds like a miss use of pump issue to me.

The Valve certanly was not bent when i set out but the tyre was slowly going down that's why i decided to stop and put some air into the back tyre .

I could of just left it but i was starting to feel a few bumps and probs won't of done my rim any good .

It could of been when i was putting the air into the tyre but like i say i just have never had this problem before and will be very careful on doing the next one

Ive sent the old one back to the store as there have kindly giving me a new one which was really nice .

Its 50/50 % that it could of been a fault of the tube or a fault of my own to be honnest i just do not know .

Cheers

For the cost of an innertube the shop gains a loyal customer. Sounds like a winners all round situation to me.

Me too, customer service is of paramount importance. Now the trouble is the shop is paying for something that was not their fault, should this be so.

You dont know that is definitely the case and I dont imagine the shop owner is losing any sleep over it.

In 50 years of cycling I have never known a valve or any piece of metal bend itself without assistance, Have you? Now if good old Uri was close you never know.

I would not be happy knowing that I might have been the one to do the damage and let somebody else pay for it. Just my way and I understand not everybody is the same.

So that others can learn, how do you think it happened? You would have noticed it before you put the pump on surely.
