It was used on football message boards I used to frequent over 20 years ago.I think cyclechat is on the verge of introducing a new world to the English dictionary ! - the use of the word 'Farkin' is common place now - I could be wrong but I think @mjr was one of the early adopters !

My father did try to get a new road named "Firkin Close" with some spurious reason about quarter-barrels or butter or something. He didn't succeed. There do not seem to be many street names with "Firkin" or "Far King" in them, which is surprising when you think how many Grapes Lanes there are.I was thinking of naming my house Dun Farkin...
