Had a great evening sharing a table with Lord Sudbury at a Liberal party dinner, made more interesting by me not being a Liberal.

When I was at school in the 80s, the cross country run route passed near Jimmy Savilles home and we'd often see him about...

On a happier note I've met the legend that is Harry Gration a couple of times and he seems a top bloke.

Gary Speed and Noel Whelan briefly lived opposite my dad's and were both good lads.

I met Lucas Radebe and his lovely wife (who is sadly no longer with us) and they were really nice, the opposite of what you'd expect a footballer to be.

Joe Johnson (1986 snooker world champion) left no real impression.

Noel Collins (Sgt George Parrish in Juliet Bravo) about a few years after the series ended when he was working as a driver for a leasing company. Another nice chap and we had a bit of a chat about the show.

Verity Rushworth is a fellow Costco member.

Mrs ND walked past Philip Schofield in The Light in Leeds on Friday but was too star struck to say hello.

He did have a shiny red helmet but sorry to disappoint you I was still at school when I met him.

A friend of a certain Mr Saville was he? :giggle:

I've had a chat with and a book signed by Alan Titchmarsh.
Got a smile and a hello from Anthony Hopkins whist he was filming here for The Remains of the day.
Knew Jill Dando and served her and her family many times whilst working in a pub in Worle. My Godfather was a workmate of hers when she worked on the local paper.
Friends with Lew the litter picker from Grimefighters. Smashing bloke.Gives the best hugs!

Pete Postlethwaite used to drink in the pub that we go back to after our home cricket matches. Brilliant guy who was taken far too soon.
