Mr Hippo, you aren't half funny. So I mix up your and you're, so what? Does that make me a bad person?
As for failure . I think the fact that I have a BSc, MSc, PhD suggests that academically I am not a failure. Sure my spelling isn't so great. Hey ho, but let me ask you, what do you know of the perturbing effects of injecting oxygen carrying materials on the ration of oxy/deoxyhaemoglobin, and the use of said pertubing effects in MRI for the determination of tissue metabolica activity? Not much I would guess. What does it feel like to be a failure Mr Hippo?

I insist - it's me that's the failure around here...don't go barging in on my success at being one

This thread is a disaster - car crash language for speedking's efforts to make a difference. One of his photos is of a guy leading a group - he's dead now.
This sort of "crash bang wallop" / bust a thread up type of aggressive posting does no good at all over here and people with an axe to grind should mention that they are taking it up - then post it in politics and life, leaving lesser intellectuals like wot I am to reflect on the general communication of the post...
Or is that just censorious?
Good luck with your campaign speedkingsox - I fear it will not alter idiots, two wheels or four or more...

I should add that degrees etc are not a yard stick of success or failure. I was just replying to Mr Hippos suggestions that I was a failure because my grammar is not the best.

The best yard stick of success is happiness. I'm pretty happy with my life at the moment and that has nothing to do with letters after my name!

Is the answer 17 ?

Ha! The first of my research questions is "Can we see a difference is size of livestock throughout the Medieval Period?", and it was always possible that the answer would be 'no', leaving me with 89,999 words to explain why not...

Thankfully, it seems to be yes (leaving me with 89,999 words to explain why)...

You are wrong - yet again! The 'failure' was in reference to you trying to deal with me and failing badly!

Damn! Thank goodness this test doesn't have negative marking in it!

Mr Hippo, I don't have to 'deal' with you. You do a pretty good job of 'dealing' with yourself!

Anyway, my job is done. Your focusing on me again, which helps to boost my ego (oh yes it does:rolleyes:), and it keeps you from harassing anyone else.

Can i suggest you reword your research question to 'to what extent does livestock differ in size throughout the medieval period?'. That way, your answer is 'to some extent', you avoid the yes/no response, and thus make the rest of your thesis answer the research question too...

Whoops! Typo. Should be 'difference in size', of course.

Ah! By making the answer 3 words instead of 1, cunning... Yes, it's a bit more sophisticated than that, of course. But I did wonder how I'd make 'no' into an interesting answer, if that had proved to be the case.

Mind you, 'interesting' is relative anyway...

I've joined........but, I don't actually see anything on the page that's raising awareness of cyclists safety. I imagine all of the people who have joined are cyclists. What is the plan for raising awareness? (this is an honest question BTW)
