You can double my buff up to make it fairly warm. I'm not sure it would work in freezing temps, but you can get various ones which add windproofing etc. One of them has a fleece end, which you could use to good effect.

Just don't pop into the bank with it on.

i got a facemask thingy from tchibo a couple of years ago for freezing cold commutes. i had to cut a bigger mouth hole as otherwise my glasses steamed up!

does the job, but i wouldn't want to loiter around a post office in it…

My buff is warm if I double it up over my nose and then breath into it while riding.

My biggest problem in the cold is that my hose hurts. Am I the only one?

Not my nose... my ears are the problem, seems they hate the cold and like to be wrapped up all nice and toasty in a skull cap.

I don't see why you couldn't wrap a buff around that as well.
Also adds some extra padding for when your off the bike ;)

I found the buff very useful earlier this month when riding through an outbreak of midges in France. The swarm was densest near the nuclear power station:ohmy:

Are these Buffs suitable for the cooler ( 0 Deg - 5 Degrees) mornings ?

Yep - they are great. I've got some £3 ones which do the job - but the castelli one is my favourite. I wear it over my gob until I warm up - then I just wear it as neck warmer.

Essential for winter riding for me.
