Was thinking about buying one of these for winter, but I have more of a romantic nose and wonder if one of these will fit:

Has anyone else tried these, or is a balaclava best?

Where could i purchase a buff from, I would appreciate if anyone has an internet link?

Thanks

Face masks are a waste of time in my view. They'll just turn your mouth/nose into a damp, hot, sweaty mess.

Just get a Buff, which you can pull up around your face and push back down to your neck as required.

Yuo don't say where you are, but this;

is the uk site.

Wiggle and Edinburgh Bike Co-Op sell them too, I think.

Decathlon have one, as do Cotswold Leisure and various other walking/mountain stores.

Mine was 1.99 from a surf shop, though I've seen them at around a tenner elsewhere.

Abitrary, I have got one, I purchased it last year thinking it would be useful, I haven't actually used it, it never seemed to get cold enough, PM me with your postal addy, and I'll pop it in the post.:blush:

I think that's the problem in southern Englandshire - it rarely gets cold enough. I have a Gore face mask/balaclava which I use in winter and sometimes in early Spring if I am heading into Lecht, Cairn O'Mount, Glenshee. It is great if the temperature is cold enough.
