I don't understand why the manufacturers can't find a way of getting the rubber flaps to last longer - mine always fall off long before the mudguard wears out.
You really do need to tune in better to the capitalist ethos Danny!
If it wears out quickly that's good. The sooner it's worn out the sooner you buy another of the original product, the sooner the company makes more profit from you.
As for this silly nonsense about repairing things - it can only be supported if you have to buy the spare part, and then something else is going to go wrong so you have to buy a new one of the original product as well as the spare part so providing the maker with two profit streams.
