I'm loving the quiet motorways and roads as I still have to be out delivering loads of stuff to Morrisons supermarkets.
Strangely, though, overnight road closures for digging the place up still continue!!
Wandered up to our little town centre this afternoon (we needed food). The whole place has turned into massive roadworks. Are the workers social distancing? Is the work essential?

Apparently Kirklees council can't do any roadworks because there's a 'shortage of materials'. Now I know where they all are

This week has been like a trial retirement, personally I have missed my regular routine.

I’m a busy person and don’t take to being cooped up indoors, so I’m not really seeing the benefits.

Magnesium is good for relaxation and help with sleep. We need it but we don't retain it and food today is often lacking in Magnesium and so most people are constantly running a deficit. Magnesium Glycinate is what to look for.
Or try more dark chocolate, avocados, nuts, legumes, tofu, seeds, whole grains, fatty fish, bananas and leafy greens. (My diet is rich in 6/10 of those so I should be ok.)

People are taking a bit more notice of food, where it comes from, who produces it, and by what methods.

Is it going to boost their health, and immunity?

I can't keep up with demand for what I produce.
And existing customers really seem to value what they're getting.

Its nice to have no noisy aeroplanes going overhead, whilst working.

Plus the lanes are beautifully quiet, for cycling and walking.

Like it was around here, thirty years ago.

No teaching in the evenings, means having a bit more time for other things instead.

Going to try to learn how to present classes online next week

Thankfully I have some young people on hand to help with that :becool:

Norwich are still a Premier League club, and may stay that way with all this,
Quiet roads,
Linked to that, theres a song thrush in some woods about half a mile away we can clearly hear banging out his beautiful song each evening across the fields from the house.

We're really enjoying the birdsong that is usually drowned out by traffic and aircraft noise. I rang some friends to catch up with their news. They invited me to a virtual drinks party via Skype or something. I asked when, and he replied that he was booked up with other virtual drinks parties until Tuesday evening.

People are not crowding me
Supermarkets are very quiet and are fully stocked
Roads are even quieter than normal
The countryside is clean as everyone has been litter collecting
I am not getting dragged off to IKEA
Work breaks are much more relaxed

It's blissfully quiet and even the German farty exhaust saloon car racing has stopped. Loudest disturbance is the farmer going up and down the road with his muckspreader between farm and some field. I'm seeing neighbours I've never met. The air is clear and fresh. So a good taste of life after we move a long way north this Autumn.

The dogs think all their christmases have come at once.
With both me and Mrs Kes working from home all day, they're never more than half a bark away from a belly rub
(although trying to type with a Greyhound "helping" is not easy).
