An acquaintance of mine has a collection old tat lights.

The first lamps I had were the metal ones with the screw-down switch. But I recognise quite a few of those and have used them in the past.

I remember those ER lights that had the double felled batteries Spent most the time bashing the top of the lamp in an attempt to keep it alight Returning on winter club runs we had to often had to put club mates with those lights in to the middle of the group.Thank goodness those with dynamo’s on the front of the group to avoid the attention of the constabulary

I remember getting some and thinking how good they were.

We couldn't see where we were going ... but we were 'appy.

Yes, we'd have been better off with a candle on the front of the bike, I used to do training rides in the winter before going to work, hurtling round pitch black country lanes, its surprising I didn't hit anything.

Aye as I recall that took about 15 minutes.
