Our (mine and wife Janet's) last tour was "European Tour 2019 - Year of the Headwinds" to be found in Member Travelogues. After that tour we had every intention of touring again as soon as possible, however "life" got in the way! First it was Covid, then due to Brexit we had to change our way of earning money, instead of working winter seasons in the Alps we were working campsites in the summer season, so no time for touring. On top of that we sold our house and moved to a different part of the country, my parents both became unwell and died, and we have have both had health issues, Janet has had breast cancer, and I had skin cancer (prognosis for both of us is OK), and I have also had multiple surgeries on the Dupytren's Contracture in both hands. Anyway, excuses over, several years older (I am 65 soon) we are booked on the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry on the 20th May (the earliest we could go due to Schengen days), for a tour of between 70 and 90 days. Going to head up the North Sea coast of Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark, hopefully to the Northern tip of Denmark before returning via the Danish east side, and cutting across inland back to the Hook - by then it will be peak holiday season so coastal campsites will be rammed, inland should be better. Old tourers have been dragged out, refurbed somewhat and we had our first test ride on Sunday. Pile of lightweight camping kit is being reassembled. Feeling somewhat apprehensive, but hope it goes OK and kicks off another spell of long tours before we get too old! I will post a full report - but in the meantime, wish usluck!

Have a great trip! I look forward to reading all about it.

Have a great time!

I'm on the evening ferry from Harwich on the 20th, only planning 10 days away.
