I don't know - I've signed up for more news though. Hopefully the organisers will set the fee at reasonable price and not the eye-watering cost of that more established closed road event, the Caledonia Etape.

I've done some cycling round there as my father-in-law has a house in Foyers. I will definitely be entering although the climb from Fort Augustus to Foyers is scary (I haven't ridden that bit but was tired just driving up it).

Anyone know when the Etape Caledonia opens for entries?

For the 2013 event, for those who pre-registered, they had the 26th,27th and 28th November 2012 to enter, and then it was open to the general public...however, many who had pre-registered in May/June 2012 did not receive notification of the early entry.......

Looking forward to this at the weekend, stupidly when they asked me my estimated time to finish this event when i signed up well i wasn`t at a good fintess level and it made me guess the wrong finish time and now am starting in the very last wave..

You can draft your way to the front ^_^ Looks a good route. The profile looks like there is only really one biggish climb?
