The thing is mine IS a cheap bike and it was a campagnolo part that snapped as part of the derailleur body is plastic - 'Fibre Composite' in campag speak, "F'ing Crap" in mine
Hopefully CRC will help out but failing that I've sourced an all-alloy derailleur that can be used with my triple for about £40.
