Hello folks

Doing some research on bike insurance, I used to be with CycleGuard years ago but have heard some good things about ETA.

Anyone used either recently and how have they found claiming, excesses etc?

If there's another insurer that's good, let me know!
Looking to insure five bikes (and that's not even all the ones I own...!) in the future

Ta muchly!

I used to be with CycleGuard but the "small print" was pretty fierce. The bikes are now on my household policy and it's cheaper and far less restrictive. The downside is that I will lose my no-claims bonus if I make more than one claim in a certain period.

Hmm, that is the thing isn't it theft is almost inevitable in London? What were the noteable small print issues with Cycleguard sm?
I'm happy to convert over to contents insurance when the time comes but I'd have nothing else I want to insure apart from the bikes - computer and photographic gubbins is covered by specialist insurance already

With the policy I had, you were strictly limited to a certain number of hours near railway stations after which you had no cover. You needed a certain security rating for your lock too. I think there was more, but it was three years ago so I'm a bit hazy. My household policy is much more relaxed on these types of conditions. I also get a number of weeks cover for foreign trips. I have no idea what they will be like if or when I claim.
