cafe stop lock ( bike is insured if it gets pinched is it is locked up )
windproof /armwarmers if the weather might be iffy

For a sportive or solo ride i would add another inner tube and some gels / energy bars and another water bottle

spare gloves as the difference in temperature from 6 am to 5 pm can mean i need a full finger pair ( bad circulation in fingers + toes )

Locks stay at work as i do not want to lug 2 locks about .

Slices of malt loaf. Gels, hydration / energy powder for top up, cash for cafe stop

All of the above plus a chain splitter and a couple of power links.

I also carry a pair of latex gloves. Takes up next to no room and if I have a mechanical, pop them on, fix the bike and I can have clean hands for the rest of the ride.

The latex gloves is an excellent idea and I wish I'd thought of it before.
