Dose anybody else on here use the endomondo app on there android phone. I have been using it for about 6 months and its fantastic just go on your android market and type endomondo , Once installed you can register with their website ( but you dont have to) and it records all your rides , distance, speed , time, average, top speed and shows on map your route. and you can log on live and see peoples rides live and you can even talk to them it keep all your rides and compiles statistics such as overall calories ect too much to mention just go and have a look

I did but it ran my battery down too quickly, so I've gone back to using MyCyclingLog. It is great software though.

I just started recent too.I get towards 5 hours battery, but that's with the screen off. I've now done a tweak to the system so hope to get some more next time out.

Just got endomondo but haven't used it yet. Will give it a go on my next ride.
So Its heavy on battery use?

I have found it ok on battery life, four or five hour rides with no issues, but you must switch the screen off or it will drain the battery rapidly. It may also depend on what phone you are using. My wifes Vodafone smart phone battery life is very poor compared to my HTC Desire.

GPS always owns my phone battery but I gotta admit I've only really used it for navigation so yeah it could be the screen killing it.

I've got a forerunner 205 from when I used to run, the strap is just the right width to fit in a light clip and it does the job of tracking my rides very nicely.

It's a great app, and a great website.
For longer rides I track on a dedicated GPS anyway, and import it later, but I've been out on 4 hour rides and found roughly 40% battery use which seems OK for a phone.

I've got an iPhone and battery life isn't good at the best of times. I'll make sure I turn everything off bar the endo app and see how I get on.

Depends on the phone. My battery is pretty mullered after about 3 hours or so. Again, not that bad I suppose.
