Go out and get yourself a proper bike, if everyone around you is laughing at you clearly you are doing something wrong.

Well, that's negative!
No, no, let them laugh, let them have the excitement in their tiny sad little lives - they are the idiots, not you, you are doing nothing more than riding your bike, what is wrong with that? You are better than they are, and you wouldn't want to be like them and sink to their level anyway, I mean, why be all boring and dull like everyone else when you can just be yourself and be happy? What you need to remember is that it is not the quality of the bike that is important, its the quality of the rider - empty vessels rattle the loudest and all that (believe me, I know!:laugh:).

..... Besides, I bet they all look like lycra clad Gay Superheroes anyway. Just remember that next time you see them.

Seriously though, who told you it was a kid's bike anyway, it wasn't one of them was it?
Oh, and if the bike is rattling, fix it.

Who cares what they think, they walk around in stripey tops, wearing berets and having strings of onions around their necks. They are the ones who should be worried about appearance when on bikes are them!

Never been to France, have you??

My wife has to ride a childs bike, well she did when she used to cycle as she is 4 foot 7" tall.
Before anyone takes the mickey the chemo+ radio therapy did her growth hormone production in when she had it when she was 12 and she never grew any taller.

Nowt wrong with that bike at all :bicycle:

Nothing wrong with your bike - I was expecting pink stringy tassels on the handlebars and spokey dokeys!
So was I actually.

It looks a fine bike to me, nice retro European looking bike. If I saw someone riding it down our street I would think 'there goes another cyclists' as there are a lot around here on all sorts of bikes.
Enjoy your cycling and don't worry what others think, who cares what they think anyway. You are out there enjoying your bike which is the main thing.

me too, that looks like a really nice bike. My Mrs has a similar one for Manchester. I occasionally ride it about the place and am seriously considering a step through frame for my next one. enjoy your bike.

as for rattles, bit of grease, bit of time spent hunting them down and an allen key will make a heck of a difference but you'll be a special person if you achieve the nirvana of an utterly silent bike.
