I May purchase a motor wheel , electrics and battery cage for my son who has expressed an interest then he can borrow the battery and charger which will save him over £500.

Here’s the contents of the C1 kit, motor drive wheel, battery and battery carrier and charger. The fitting instructions are on a USB flash drive. Last photo is the drive wheel fitted to my cycle.
That’s it for today more tomorrow.

All finished and it all works a treat. Had to give Cytronex a call as you have to get the battery synced to the controls but they talked me through it and the motor wheel spins fast. When it stops raining I will take her for a spin, battery on charge now.

Just been out on the electrified bike and wow it has made quite a big difference. The big hill was conquered on just level two assist and you just flew along. If you stopped peddling you could feel some resistance slowing you down but as soon as you peddle off you flew again.

Congratulations on your successful installation 👏

Do you know if they do a bigger battery or can any battery of correct voltage be used? I hope they haven't gone proprietary software locking out aftermarket improvements

The C1 kit can’t be modified to go faster for UK and EU customers. To comply with UK law it’s set at 15 mph. However the C1 kit exported to the USA, where their laws are different and 20 mph is achievable with their kit.
You had best contact Cytronex and see what they say? The Cytronex battery is custom built and will only fit their system I believe. Their are many kits on the market and if you view E bike forums they are full of kits which will exceed the UK speed limits, but then you will be breaking our own UK laws so you could be in trouble if caught.

Looks really nice installed on the bike. The battery could be confused for an actual normal bottle and the small motor hub could be confused for a dynamo hub. It's a very low key ebike and great to see a bike continuing to be used which is great for the environment.

I’d be very wary about sticking a USB drive from China into my computer. I wonder why they decided to do that instead of a link online or printed instructions?
Not much you can do about it now.
