North Wales ? Only kidding, but there are virtually no charging points in N. Wales.
Or Norfolk, guy across the road from my mate wanted to go to Norfolk & back, so worked out where the charging points were, planned his route, was due to go down one day, stay over & drive back next. Came back 4 days later, won't talk about the experience but didn't drive the car for 3 weeks afterwards.

Got dragged up to MK yesterday. They have plenty of charging stations and reserved bays, all empty. Build and they shall come...not.

Mrs D's new car is due to arrive first week of September, Volvo XC90 T8. It does about 25 miles on the batteries, which is good enough for a ride into town and back, and the petrol motor/ hybrid for longer jaunts. I wonder if this might be the way forward, at least for the intermediate period?

Chatting to a mate of mine that dabbles in used car sales, and he says plug in hybrids such as the Outlander are starting to leak down to the level he buys and sells at, and he reckons almost all of them come to him at 3, 4, 5 years old with the charging lead unopened, still in its original packaging...

That's because there were tax incentives for using them in company car fleets. Problem is they're utterly impractical for anyone doing serious mileage so the batteries were never used and companies just took the tax benefits.
