My wife has an Orbea Vibe H30 which is really nice, range about 40miles, lightweight and low gearing so well useable without having assist on.
However, as mentioned if only 5 miles do you need an e-bike. Only you can answer that question.
I was thinking similar but didn't want to get shot down by the leccy bike mafia..
One would hope that 5 miles would be achievable (albeit slowly, if initial fitness isn't great) and normal bikes have a lot of advantages over assisted jobs with cost being a big one.
Do you want a step through design or something with a standard frame shape ? Have you sorted out where at work you will be storing it as well and how much will you need to carry ?
