I would have the egg sliced and the cress layed on top with minimal butter and a seasoning of salt.
No condiments for me.(apart from the salt)

Fry the egg, and serve on some nice bread immediately! Tastes so much better that way.

I don't but there again I've never tried using brown sauce as a lubricant. Does my chain need HP or some other condiment?

The egg needs to be mashed; and it is critical that the bread is sliced diagonally, whatever you do with the egg. Cress sprinkled on after cutting.

Lubricate your chain with whatever you want, I have no chain and therefore no need of lubricant.
I can, however, think of several uses for bottled sauce, none of which involve food.
