Edinburgh to Jedburgh non-scary route please

I know you done this route a while ago but I wondered if you could post up the route please. Did you have to go on any busy sections and are there any off road alternatives. How long did it take you?Many thanks

Ive not seen @edindave in here for a while. If you want a quiet route you could follow Sustrans route 1 down to Selkirk then the '4 Abbeys Route' (Borders Council has detailed maps IIRC) http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map . I only know about the Ed to Innerleithen part and my knowledge is dated; somebody like @User9609 will be better placed to advise.
