I've twice been diagnosed with eczema which has been subsequently been diagnosed as psoriasis 20 years apart. So it might be worth checking with the doc as at least in my experience they tend to assume eczema before the consider psoriasis. I find it's very itchy particularly in the evening or if it's warm, but I've no idea if the symptoms are the same for eczema.

Will this excitement ever end???????

GP says it's eczema that I have managed to get infected. Prescribed Fucidin H cream, told me to walk around the house in flip flops and, best of all, get a second pair of cycling shoes so I can alternate them and allow them to dry properly.

For more general information - I was at the doctor this morning with red circular slightly itchy patches on my back. He said that they were d-something eczema (not surprising as I get eczema on my hands) but he showed me images of this and of ringworm, which to the untrained eye looks very similar, and said that if I'd put my topical steroids for my eczema on ringworm or another fungal infection, it would have made it worse! So it is always worth getting that sort of thing checked by the GP.
