Nice.. I’ve got one but in pink. Falcon San Remo Equipe. Think it might be number 76 but I could be wrong. Top Falcon frame at the time it was built and rode by the team

Shame too small for me. Look like dura ace first gen shifters too.

@Mandobob knows more than me

The sticker on the seat tube seems to be a Main Frame Tubes only one,

plus the one on the fork blades makes it a high spec frame for sure.

If this is true then there is still the step up to a full 531 frame with 531 stays as well.

Bye

Full seat flattened wrap round was usually the mark of a model 76 in full 531

Mind you I’m running on memories from 50 years ago lol.

531 framed Falcon with Campagnolo headset, San Remo decal on chain stays & Suntour gearing. I don't know enough about the different San Remo models - people here will know more than me.
Chromed lugs at the headtube, fork & 1/2 stays - but fairly pitted: may need some special measures to make the chrome right again.
£52.72: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335908201288?_skw=531+bike&itmmeta=01JRN0QVXHN0G69N566T7MSTGN&hash=item4e35b06348:g:tongue:zUAAeSwhN1n-j9L&itmprp=enc:AQAKAAAA4FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1fkr117yga4YympYRlYicud4rKNmVt2uEI4+gC6VIWU+mx9RTovK2m1bBUINuisoiSYUOiN2XDSdf2xeTKhDKvFnkLutDWg9dAtjFzLKu+MMRqQJlIGNWFxbF+u+RBP2GjhGDM7PPWR1I7xIOOKaFP+p4Qc96IYUlK1YtbobHTAomn3BlcettIcJC43IsQF7+YFiOx1JH/6J/I4/yscD3D6JX1psLK/uA78bTjDiqlva49IwBMPiOQ6Y0Agsves6u1RKP0rKinW2Gpx087Cz42+|tkp:Bk9SR_q-36DFZQ

This is interesting. It certainly appears to be a San Remo Equipe with the chrome head lugs, fork and part rear triangle - these usually only appeared on the top of the range model. If so it will have a 27.2mm seat post and be 531 butted (If it is 26.6mm it will be 531 plain tubing). The "main tubes" decal might have been added if the old one wore off?

However, if it was sold as a complete bike it would have had full Campag kit which might have been taken off and sold? It appears to have Shimano 500 chainset which is not top of the range - more of a touring spec.

The brake levers seem to be Weinmann judging by the hoods. If original equipment, it would make it pre 1970 as the pro team raced with these until they swapped to Campag in 1970.

Of course it could have been bought as a frame only and built up by the owner. That would account for a mix of components.

Some provenance would help in interpreting all this!
