Oh my, that is my size, and it's absolutely gorgeous! I've always wanted something like that, but a) I don't currently have the budget for it given the last 18 months have been a bit spendy, and b) I think I'll get shot if I buy another bicycle...

That looks to be a cycle speedway bike rather than a track bike.

I would be very dubious about that dent compromising the structural integrity of the tube

resulting - maybe - in it collapsing if you hit a bad bump

Am I being over cautious in this - not that I would buy it anyway - just wondering

I wouldn’t worry about it, not a highly stressed location. I’ve had bikes with worse, a bit of filler and touch up paint.

It's been for sale for a while, reducing in price, but no-one bought it. With the Vitus auction starting at a 99p I decided to have a punt given it's got to be worth at least what I paid just for the wheelset.

I'm guessing/hoping we're at the bottom of a bike price curve because they can't get much lower. Can they?

Absolutely got to be done.

Not sure re being at bottom of curve as still lots of bikes not selling especially older steel road bikes unless you give them away.

Whatever you do ride the Vitus they are lovely bikes and enjoy it some of them flex a bit 😄

@Jameshow - I'd like to think so but I couldn't see any stickers on it. The downtube decal also looks a bit off.

However, for £50 plus delivery it must be worth a go for someone. Not me though as I've got mine.
