Eating Ginger

I’m aiming to improve my nutrition by incorporating healthy foods like peas, strawberries, and blueberries.

I also want to include ginger in my diet due to its numerous health benefits. Ginger contains compounds that can aid digestion, reduce inflammation, and alleviate pain. Additionally, it is a good source of vitamins and minerals.

Unfortunately, I don't like ginger. I've tried to mix it with scrambled eggs however, it just tastes disgusting. Does anyone know a way I could mix ginger in with something else and still enjoy what I'm eating?

The thing with ginger is that it's a very strong flavour so will overpower most other things.
You should be able to get some ginger root tablet supplements from Holland and Barrats or suchlike.

Have it in tea with some lemon and honey?
Often things that are (allegedly) good for you, taste foul and the bad stuff tastes good! C'est la vie!

The misery and stress of eating something you hate will outweigh the benefits (probably).

Does that mean then joy and relaxation of eating something I like will outweigh the disbenefits?

I must do an experiment. Pass me that doughnut (in the name of science)

I use it a fair bit in curries. Namely a Balti that i make. I don't buy "lemsip" type products when im ill. I'll just have a lemon, honey and ginger tea that if nothing else, provides a nice refreshing placebo. I've had a marmalade with ginger in it which was nice and subtle. But i've got to be honest, Ginger and Egg is probably not a combo i'd have ever considered. It doesn't sound appetising at all.

I love ginger.... but in scrambled eggs? xx( What one earth were you thinking?

you could try crystallised ginger in yogurt... bit how many of the health benefits carry over from the root to its crystallised form I've no idea.

I am ptretty sure there are plenty of very healthy people in this world who have never set tooth to ginger. Most of the "this foodstuff is good for you" lore is invented by quacks and ginger salesmen. What does "aid digestion" actually mean? - it's not like you're sh*tting out bits of undigested food, is it?

As for inflammation and pain....what pain are you in and does it disappear when you chomp on ginger?

If you're in pain, remove the source and take a pill.
