I'm enjoying Schwalbe Ones on two of my three bikes. They roll well and I find them easy to get on and off. Prices vary wildly, but with a bit of hunting you may find them around your budget.
Which version, there seem to be quite a few of them. The One Performance seems to be about £19?

My 2 favourites are Victoria Rubino Pro and Schwalbe One. Either I just have easy rims or good thumbs as always been easy to pop on.

Do you know which version of the Schwalbe One it is, or roughly how much you paid for them? There are Performance and Pro, and probably a few more.

I have Schwalbe One performance and paid about £24 each.

G One is for gravel and has little knobbles. One Pro is faster and has less protection, seems to cost £40+

I generally find wire on tyres are a pain to fit, where-as folding versions are easy - even of the same wire on version. So my advice would be pretty much any folding tyre.

Pirelli P zero.

I buy them for the easy on / Off.
Was just looking at those - which model did you buy? I've thought about the Cinturato Velo before but they're quite pricey.

I have these on my winter bike and they nearly as good as Conti 4 seasons at 1/3 of the cost.

I bought them for my London commuter, but when I changed jobs and didn't need it I switched the tyres to replace some Conti sport something on the winter bike and they were a marked improvement in grip and protection.

I might go for these, £27. The Pirellis look nice but pretty expensive. I'd try the Michelins in a 28mm if they were a bit cheaper, but it's a bit galling to go from £25 to £40 for an extra 3mm of tyre! Decathlon don't seem to stock the 28mm.

I also bought a Tyre Glider.... ;)

My answer to "What tyre" questions is always Durano Plus. "Some puncture protection but not to Marathon standards" fits the bill.

I never had problems fitting them but fitting problems tend to come from the tyre/wheel combo, so who knows ...

indeed the combo is the sticking point, i tried the same tyre on my commuter and they were one of the hardest tyres for that rim i have ever tried , a good 10 mins just to get the tyre off under good conditions , not something i want to try in a rain storm coming home after late shift
