the only in-ear headphones that didn't hurt my ears after a while were the old iPod ones, but only if i reversed the left and right. They've since been redesigned and the newer ones aren't comfortable, so I've reverted to old fashioned over ear headphones.

Swapping your ears around just to get a good fit, that's a bit much.

the cost of surgery was astronomical, even going to Malaysia was prohibitively expensive. I did however think of a cheaper option :okay:

I don't like ear pods. I much prefer headphones. Much more comfortable. I have a pair of Bose headphones. I've had them for 2 or 3 years now. I really like them.

As previously suggested, the correct size gel/foam tips should get a good comfortable fit. I have Jabra (5 years old) & el cheapo soundcore earbuds. Both brands sit happy in my ears for hours at a time with the smaller gels.
