Some good advice on the dyno set up. Here is my Pifco variant on a Continental. This run as close to the tyre as possible when disengaged.

I always fined that the Millers take a bit of fettling. Once set up the should light the front and rear quite brightly

+1 that! ^^^ stunning.....do you use a wire from the front light to earth? I can't tell from your picture

The front light uses one wire to the back, the frame is the earth and completes the circuit via the lamp bracket. The screw on the dyno clamp makes contact with the frame.
