In between here and there
That can't be a real Motorway  No local authority would dare paint a cycle lane in to the confines of a motorway.

Well many might say the M23 is not a real Motorway, but the cycle lane goes along the slip entry and stops with a little island and you are expected to cross there, geniunely it is the entry slip road, and where the cycle lane stops is right where the single lane breaks in to two. A long sweeping corner as well.

I think offcially M23 start half a mile further down, but tell the drivers that!!

When the london to brighton was on they stuck a huge yellow sign stating that the road ahead is not for cyclists, strange really as the L2B doesn't even go down that part ofthe A23

I've cycled on the A264 between Horsham and Crawley, mostly when I have been marshalling a TT and once close to midnight because the train from Three Bridges to Horsham was delayed and I worked out I would get home sooner on the bike. It is fine when I have used it as the traffic was light, not sure I would like to cycle along it at rush hour though.
