So you spend a fortune buying the lightest frame etc and then spend an extra fortune adding weight in the form of a battery to lug around. On a touring bike were shifting is more likely to be under higher loads I can deffo see the advantage of electrics but on a bike for general riding it is imo just another bling item. No I have not ridden Di2. Would I buy it on my next bike? Hell yeh bling every time
What no-one has mentioned about Di2, at least I don't think they have, is how easy it is (an absolute doddle in fact) to change multiple gears, quickly, up or down, exactly, every time.
