Does your bike have a name?

I sometimes called my old Scott bike Captain Scott, of Scott of the Antarctic fame, but only in my head not to anyone else.

It's only convention that makes us name things as a mark of ownership.

But only because I was messing in strava settings and it had a space for differentiating bikes. So despite only having one bike, my OCD took over and I filled it in.

'Tis a fair point. But to be honest for now, I only have one pair of legs.

More seriously, it's a cx bike that I pretty much only ride on the road, so I'm not really certain what I need another bike for. I'd like carbon and disc brakes and DI2 but only cause its shiny and I wants it, I nearly pulled the trigger recently but changed my mind, I doubt it will make a ha'porth of difference to my riding. Don't race, don't offroad, don't commute and don't tour.....

ofc that won't stop me going n+1 someday, but it won't be because I need to.

Pashley is "the lovely Gloria" , Gloria for short.

Not a name, but my Brompton has a personality. It's very outgoing and keeps getting into conversations with strangers in a way I never would. I've lost count of the number of times I've found myself talking to people on account of my Brommie.

Its called tart.
