Hurrah! It's time for my favourite joke again, for the the first time this year.

You should never anthropomorphise inanimate objects, they do not like it.

All my bikes are called The, so to avoid confusion I tag on the make or type (The plastic bike, The tourer, The ally bike, The Hewitt, etc). Unless there's no possible confusion, like when I've only got one with me, when I'll call it The bike. They've never complained so I'll stick with things the way they are.

I give it nasty names when I'm having problems fettling it. Otherwise, we just skip the chat and go straight to me getting on and riding it.

Not a name, but my Brompton has a personality. It's very outgoing and keeps getting into conversations with strangers in a way I never would. I've lost count of the number of times I've found myself talking to people on account of my Brommie.

My AWOL is known as either "the tank" or "abraham" (still due to its tank like nature).

commuter is occasionally known as victoria (has vittoria tyres and some vittoria decals), the fancy-dan ribble r872 doesn't really have a name, although nero might suit it as it's black and quite italian...

But only because I was messing in strava settings and it had a space for differentiating bikes. So despite only having one bike, my OCD took over and I filled it in.

When I had one bike it was known as My Bike. When the Ribble came along my mate didn't hear me properly (southern softie) he thought I said Dribble.
So from then on it has been called "Officer Dribble"

Yes I know the character was Officer Dibble but I didn't start it.

Mine is a silver Giant with a lilac stripe, so shes caled lilac lil x goes with me being a LOLIL , little old lady in lycra !
