Does your bike have a name?

I have concerns about anyone who names their bike(s); I'd go as far as venturing that they are nobbers.

Do you name your kettle? The toaster maybe? How about your left shoe? No? Then why name a bike
I only have one toaster and one kettle so no need to differentiate. As for shoes, left or not, it's not a topic that get discussed very often, if ever, with Mrs SG whereas the bikes do get discussed much more frequently.

If you don't name your bikes I have to question the depth of your commitment.

This is Kaiser (all official on Strava), named in honour of Kajsa Tylen with, I hasten to add, the lady's permission:

My previous named bikes have been Freddy, Buster, Vergil and Horace. Although the love is always very deep and genuine, it's always felt like matiness rather than romance, so male names for boy's bikes feels appropriate.

I have concerns that some folk are way too serious....

I do not name inanimate objects either, there are some strange folk that name their guitars (usually after a female ? !) Mine are.... that one or that one ! The same for motorbikes (again named agressively, 'the beast', 'the monster' or worse 'baby' !!!) Mine is....the bike.
