I have Monty, Mercury, Mephistopheles, and Murdo. I started it all off with Mithras, sadly stolen, and the M theme sort of stuck.

I guess I should give my bike a name... getting my leg over Chris Boardman every morning is a little bit... erm... sad.

I think I will name it Cameron (after Diaz, not James !!)

It seems like there's plenty of us " soppy sods " on here then  .

I've also had a few motorbikes ( now gone  ) called Elsie and Daisy , and my wife always gives her cars names , but for some reason I've never been moved to give any of my cars names .

My wife names all her cars...

In the last 6 years we've had :

Rupert (red Escort that caught fire)
BC (replacement red Escort for Rupert)
Ethel (Peugeot 206)
Dave (BMW 328 convertible)
and now Summer (Toyota Celica gen7)

*sigh*

Definitely not. Much as I admire them, they're machines built for a purpose, not sentient beings.

Ships aren't sentient beings, they get named all the time...
