On a previous thread http://www.cyclechat.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=27661 I discovered I wasnt the only weirdo that names all his possessions as Wafflycat has a series of names for all his bikes (and car).

As I am yet to name my new Allez Elite I was wondering if anyone else out there names their bikes? obviously other than "my bike" or the name the manufacturer chose to give it?

I do call my bikes lots of names , especially when the gears don't change in quite the way I wanted

Yes, my bikes have names. I don't necessarily talk to them, but I refer to them by name - assuming the person I'm talking to knows the names too.

Currently I have Monty the Hack, Mephistopheles the Giant FCR, Mercury the Dawes Galaxy (currently in bits) and Murdo the Trice trike.

Oh, and there's something you need to know about Wafflycat...
