Sherwood Gadwell moleskin trousers
I had to google for those, just to see. I now need a Hadleigh jacket,so I can pretend to be Bane. And possibly some breeks.

I'm not sure you can accuse a man who drives a 14-year-old car of conspicuous consumption ... ;)
I can, especially if the roof goes down!

Have you tried Sherwood Gadwell moleskin trousers Or Reliant Kitten Estate? Their is nothing to laugh at. They are an experience to die for.

I was laughing at you actually, thinking you were being quite funny for once. My mistake.
So you think that I was being serious in the above post?
Arhh I see I should have said the Reliant kitten was an experience to die in. A 5 mph cross wind was a hazard. And the Sherwood Gadwell moleskin trousers have to be worn inside out to get maximum pleasure.....so I suppose I was being serious!

Bollocks. Did you see the film? He rode a bike. Bike = bikers jacket = a classic Belstaff. Please check you facts on fictional characters

Just for the look, your favoured Sherwood brand is a lot cheaper.
No I have a musto jacket. I use it for cycling but it was created as walking jacket. It was a brief foray into walking/hiking wear by Musto. Unsuccessful, the jackets started selling at £225. Someone on EBay with negligible feedback started auctioning them with a £50 starting price. Now if you put in Musto on eBay you aren't looking for hiking jackets and if you are looking for hiking jackets you won't have heard of Musto. Got mine for £50. Best jacket I have ever had. After coming of my bike god knows how many times it still looks new. I would give £225 for a spare one.
Other than that I prefer Sherwood on price. The trousers were bought at revesby game show. They had run out of my size but the bloke said "the ladies ones are identical except they fasten on the other side and there half the price of the men's"
SOLD

@brand Wouldn't argue with Musto being good gear - I've had one of their wetsuits in the past from my sailing days, which is were Musto started off making gear for so can see the logic for your jacket. I do like the Belstaff, but not like it enough for £550. Sherwood is same look at better price so  for the (roundabout) link.

I have done a lot of research on the French Sandero website ( it has been there longer than the UK) and will have questions to ask after my test drive this afternoon. Still very much interested .

Well, back from test drive. The car I tested was 1 year old . The ride was good, very lively diesel engine but clunky gear box although quite positive. However, the car felt tinny when closing doors but I still liked it . Then I made the mistake of testing a Captur that was also on the forecourt. It was a completely different world. The build quality was much superior and the inside so much nicer and more modern. I was totally sold on it. I tore up the Dacia brochure and sat down to talk money with the salesman and found out I can afford the Captur, even a brand new one. As I don't plan to buy it till next March, he gave me a part ex figure for my present car which he will honour until then . My wife wants a blue one though so a blue one it will be if I go ahead with it as I like it too in blue.

Upset that you aren't going to join the Dacia clan.... They are a little tinny but so are a lot of cars that cost more....... I'm glad you found something you liked, But everything new with a Renault badge was out of our price.....and I'm glad I didn't get an alloy wheel option, I've destroyed 2 front passenger side wheel trims now.... second one about an hour ago:cursing:

If you lived by me, I could show you how to park alongside the pavement without touching. Thanks for your comment.

Ah of course you're a driving instructor.... I'd forgotten that fact... I've just caught the kerb a couple of times when getting off my drive..... my fault I know, but odd parking by others can make it difficult to get off it.....
