I don't give or receive Christmas presents these days, so no, he doesn't get any presents! Besides, he gets enough spent on him throughout the year, so it's not like he misses out on 'doggie things'. However I do allow him stuff like turkey, sausages, bacon, etc etc when we visit a friend's house as I hope to this Christmas Day. It has to be in moderation though as too much of that type of food will give him the đź’©s, which is not something I fancy dealing with on Boxing Day!xx(

At our Christmas Greyhound gathering/picnic (it's Summer here) the minders each bring a soft toy which are laid out in a long row.
Lots are drawn and the first hound walks along the row and selects a soft toy.
Rinse and repeat.
The last Greyhound gets what is left.

We used to buy my sister's dog a chew toy at Christmas, which would generally be utterly destroyed by boxing day. But the dog is a senior citizen these days and has put aside such puppyish things.

my partner would have bought her dog toys at xmas which i thought was a waste.
She would have baked treats which i think the dog appreciated more and wasn't adding to our landfill problem

We always used to get the family pets a treat for christmas, even before it was cool! These days, the dog and cat will probably get a tin of meat that we would otherwsie think too expensive to buy

Bruce get steak for dinner at Christmas and birthdays.

Do you think 'Bruce' understands the concept of birthday & Christmas?
Used to have a family dog that enjoyed unwrapping gifts, but my younger sister was always buying stuff for the dog , wrapping it, then giving them to him,
We used to give our wrapped gifts to the dog to unwrap, he absolutely loved doing it with childish glee , he was a very careful doing it as well,.
So perhaps Pets can understand, but then George dog was a collie cross mix and very intelligent.

I used to get mine a couple of toys. Wrapped them up in Christmas paper and under the tree with all the other presents until at present time they were the first and told "find presents" and they'd search the pile, take their's out and open them. Always got the right ones. Border Collies.
