China is a huge NET importer of steel because of the demand for building. Unlikely much will go the other way.

It's a brake disc. There's not much you can add to the steel to inhibit corrosion or it quickly affects braking performance - particularly in the wet - and noise.

Shove wet, salty, bare steel in a shed during the recent damp but humid weather we've had recently and it'll rust regardless of where it's from.

Coat your disc with a thick layer of grease after riding your bike. This will stop it rusting. It will also stop it braking!
I heard a story that somebody on a car forum told some young boy racer that copper grease was good for the brake disks & the gullable idiot ended up going through somebody's wall.

All plain steel will rust, Chinese or not. You need stainless to avoid the rusting.
Well you actually need the correct grade stainless to avoid oxidisation of it . 304 isn't the best for marine applications and will rust rather rapidly. 316 is a lot better but generally is the most cost effective solution in marine environments. The British stainless association has a good tech section on its website.

Seeing as we have gone waaaaay off topic, The Energy Institute have produced a top quality 'performance of stainless steels guideline'......much better than the British steel assoc, not that I have much skin in the game

Why would you want stainless steel discs? Use mihanite, much better heat dissipation. Its cast and not rolled, so less chance of it warping. So you get a nice rust colour on it if you dont ride it, more of an excuse to go out and ride a bit more.

There are hundreds of different grades of steel. Boardman do not make brakes, they buy them from factories in places like Taiwan. Salty water will quickly rust all but the best marine grades of stainless steel.
