Do any of the budget computers work ???

As you can tell, I'm a bit of a garmin fanboy...

Hey, my 800 is probably the best bit of cycling kit I've bought, don't get me wrong. But there's a big price difference to get even a basic GPS computer, and I feel you've slightly overstated the GPS' superiority, and understated the price difference

Eventually I'm going to invest in a gps garmin with mapping... Think it will be invaluable on holidays.. But although iv only used my budget computer twice I'm finding it a good motivational tool regarding speed .

Just don't do anything daft like chasing top speeds or hunting down segments to beat. I use it (painfully every day) to remind me how much more mileage my ride buddies have ridden each week.
It literally gets me out of bed in the wet cold winter mornings

I use my iPhone Strava app ,doesn't cost ,but still would like another garmin 200 as I sold mine foolishly last year,but the phone doing the job just as good .

Yep thats an option although the bike mount for iPhones are pretty bulky so most times it doesn't really work as a"bike computer". Good way to get into strava though.

and 160 miles in 5 days, some chicken , however been having hard drive issues so not sure I will get out to day as I need to try and recover the data ( I think its sort of fixed but not quite sure how)
