The novelty was alluring.
A single wheel trailer in theory offers less rolling resistance and less wind resistance.
It will follow through a gate easier and take up less space.
In the end, my version is adequate for my use. I'm also fortunate to have a friend who is a talented fabricator and is kind enough to offer his opinions, advice and importantly can weld/braze FOC.
What are friends for?
Without that resource then I would happily fall back on the methods you use (and often do).
