i spent a while thinking I could get to 6x49 and gave up and used the 6 to get a 5 on my longwinded route.
These remind me of the 'Mastermind' game with guess the coloured pegs combination. It was the only 'board game' my late ex wife refused point blank to play for the simple reason that it's impossible to cheat.
One of the many reasons why she became an 'ex' - !

Oh it doesn’t give you clues like Mastermind. The yellow or grey just shows where you’ve used (or not) a number you calculated in a previous step. You only get to see the above image when you solve it as well.
I'll get the GLW on it; she's a wizz at things like this - !
