This is a brilliant alternative!

The weather shouldn't be an excuse unless it's treacherous Ice or snow out there. Rain should not stop you cycling. To be a little more blunt, If you are serious about losing weight then you will have to forgo the excuses and get on your bike on a more regular basis and keep at it.

Or buy a turbo :cold::rain::surrender:

Swap the cereal for an un sweetened high fruit muesali. Swap the bread on a lunch for a load of various salad ingredients.

I like porridge with sultanas or the little bags of dried fruit.

Whenever my weights plateaued its almost always been because id started eating more without realising it, even if it was just toast with breakfast, a few extra beers. The balance between losing weight gradually and not losing at all is rather slight, and doesnt take much more than that to start gaining again. Supposedly when you have any drink itll accelerate the digestion of food/emptying of your stomach, so no liquids around meals can help keep you feeling fuller. Im explaining it poorly but it does seem to help. I also like to have multivitamin drinks if im eating less food, Tesco do their own brand of Berocca called B-Active or something thats about a 3rd of the price, supposedly some vitamins help with fat metabolisation too.

Just started my own diet today after slowly working my way back up to 19 stone:stop: (at near enough 6'2). Im toying with the idea of running a marathon next year, so would probably want to drop about 4 stone if im going to do that. :smile:

Slice up a banana and sling it into the porridge. If you're feeling really cheeky, perhaps a spoonful of jam also (do this variation sparingly). I always make mine with skimmed milk but suppose I should try it with water, at least once! Oatso simple or the supermarket branded variations are my brekkie of choice :thumbsup:
