Nice one Kath. I've been doing my (10 mile each way) commute for over a year now. And on mornings like this when I walk into the office soaking wet and muddy, people ask me how do I do it...

Truth is, it's still tickles me that I CAN do it...

And yeah...there's no better stress buster than the commute home...

The "Sunny South-East" was rather damp and cloudy this morning. But that has now given way to nice, humid, and sunny skies....

Tis gonna be a nice spin down the coast this evening.

Forgive my geography but is that way down below Dublin? I don't really know the southern part of Ireland only having been to Dublin once. But you have a good time cycling

Thanks Ian, I intend to keep going I am loving it, especially when I think I am going really fast although by some standards on here it wont be that fast lol, I have to say I love the wind in my face at that point and love the feeling of speed and I know this sounds weird probably but my legs feel like they are what can only be described as alive when I get off the bike at the end of the commute, in fact overall you feel so alive and wide awake. I am getting more used to the traffic as well which was making me a bit nervous of starting tbh. But alls good so far.

Still get a buzz when i climb off my bike once arriving at work " feeling alive" just loving these summer mornings.

Berties

Fast and careful!
With me my Journey to work takes 25 mins by car or sub 45mins in and 50 mins home On the bike, saves me £25 ish in fuel a week so a no brainier but don't liKe the damp times!

I commute 7 miles it takes me just under 20 mins going and about 30 mins homes, on my commute home the last 3 miles are a gradual climb culminating in a 10% climb on the last leg. Great for fitness though.

You'll get to the point where you are saying "Oh no, do I have to take the car/bus/train to work"? :bicycle:
