Hello,

I bought a carbon frame from China a few months back, it is a road frame for a disc brake bike. I want to upgrade to Di2 and then buy the R785 levers and callipers. I would prefer to have the lot cabled internally as I think it is cleaner but I don't know if my frame will take it. I see no reason why the battery won't fit but I don't know if there is anything else I should consider?

So, are there any clear tell-tales to say whether or not my frame can manage internal cable routing?

Thanks in advance
Steve

Has it got the holes in the frame for the cables/wires?

If you read the shimano tech doc for Di2 it shows the route needed for the wires.

As Peteaud says you need the relevant holes in the frame.
You can however get an external wiring harness for Di2, but IMHO they are a bit ugly.

Thanks for the feedback and the link to the thread. I have internal cables but not sure on the requirement for Di2. I'll read the thread and look for the Shimano doc.
