Just make sure you keep the screws tightened up on the cruds, lost one of mine on Sunday, fortunatley I removed the stay and it worked ok on one stay for the rest of the ride. New screw fitted today and all back to normal . A godsend in wet weather,
The same thing happened to me on monday. Think it's a design flaw on an otherwise good product. I reattached mine with cable ties as I refuse to pay a fiver for more plastic bolts. They function well I'm not confident in their durability.
Ordered Giant's own mudguards from JE James cycles and fitted these on Sunday. They seem to do the job very well so far, and it was nice to come into work with a dry bum despite Monday's showers.
Tip - make sure you thoroughly tighten up the brake caliper bolt when fitting front mudguard, or the guard will stray to the side, and the metal bit of the mudguard will rub away at your tyre.
And the rear guard stays are not of equal length. Installing them with the longest stays at the top, and the shortest stays towards the rear of the mudguard, gives the best and ample fit around a 700x25c tyre.
