Managed to track down and older model new old stock Selle Italia SLR Saddle for £60, posted.
I'd also joined the Faceache "Felt Breed and Broam Owners Group" which confirmed my suspicions about the stock wheels. They are heavy. But, folk using tubeless setups had them leaking and folk using tubes had multiple punctures, which means that the stock rim tape is useless. A couple of people had them going out of true and going out of round.
I've had my own experiences of getting let down by stock wheels that tend to ship on bikes at this price point, which have included being stuck at the roadside in the pouring rain in the middle of the night having used two spare inner tubes and a good number of patches. So I've ordered some Hunt Four Seasons Superdura wheels. They are currently discounted, reportedly weigh 400 grams less than the stock wheels, are rated for 130kg and are 32 spoke. That should play nice with the trailer towing and who knows, maybe a bit of loaded touring at some point.
