Funny thread, I have had my bits go numb etc thats probably just the blood supply cutting out after a long time in saddle, and also had them whacked going downhill at speed and I hit a dip in the road which knocks the seat into you, but cant imagine how they would hurt unless u sit on them.

I blame sore nuts on saggy pants - springy pants work for me, keeps em off the saddle nose. Not sure where to get them from, though.

I have heard that there are cycling-specific pants, not sure where to get them from, either.

If it's not the saddle tilt then I'd go for poor packing. You really want to keep those pearls out of the way. Personally, I use clingfilm.

I once read an article by a cyclist who had worked as an A & E doctor and he said that he'd had several cyclists in over the years with exploded testicles from traumatic 'nad-to-top-tube impacts!

There were pictures of the damage done to a rally driver by his six point harness belts not properly set up.........I think he would have been very happy to have a coming together with a top tube!!

I'm going to be dreaming about exploding goolies all night...

Maybe thats why your supposed to wrap them in clingfilm as "Dodo" suggests, makes it not so messy and there all there when you get to A&E for the surgeon to stitch them back together, and if you don't want them back, they will be nicely wrapped, to "boil in the bag" and give to the cat.

I read that the jock strap was originally invented for cycling. Might be worth getting one and using it if your man bits are uncomfortable.

Your quite right according to Wicki, its something I would never have guessed, be a good question in a pub quiz. Maybe there was a lot of dodgy chains in them days or else it was a long drop off the back of the saddle on a penny farthing onto the back wheel.

Anyway off fishing till Friday now, working Saturday and Sunday days but fishing on the nights, what a life, getting paid to freeze my "nads" off instead.
