Cyclist down in Fareham

A cyclist was off his bike in Fareham this afternoon. It happened just before I got to the Old Gosport Road roundabout at the junction of Mill Road and the A32 Gosport Road. A guy was phoning for the police/ambulance.

The cyclist tried to get up but went back down again, his bike was on the pavement and the front wheel looked well and truly f****d.

Fluorescent jacket and rucksack cover and most probably another SMIDSY.

Hope he's alright.

The fact he tried to get up indicates they're probably OK-ish...

Was this approaching or moving away from the new traffic arrangement?
I have deliberately avoided that area (until things settle down) in my car for fear of accidents, so guess it could be inevitable that cyclists become vulnerable

It was before the new road layout, just after the Bird in Hand pub.

Personally I avoid this as the driving is bad.

I have even seen a big fire engine, lights and horns blazing not seen by here!

Always sad to hear of local accidents, I hope the cyclist is OK
