Cyclist down A580 - Worsley, Manchester

Not sure of the ins and outs of this one.

Wednesday 7th Aug evening rush hour traffic, on the A580 at the motorway slip road junction of the M61.
Colleague saw a mangled bike which was apparently hit by a road sweeper on the exit of the slip road.

I caught the tail end of the traffic and joined the motorway but could see the accident hotspot from the slip road.

Anyone fill in the blanks at all?

Other than it was given as a fatal incident, there's not much to go on. What I did get was on a traffic feed, since updated
That stretch of road seems to be an accident magnet though. With cyclists & pedestrians coming off worst in most incidents.

Hope all involved are OK.
It's an awful road, especially the section mentioned out towards the motorway. Not one I cycle on - not worth it. Bad enough just crossing the thing.
