There's a series of emails being circulated all to do with the symptoms, and suggestions that the virus may have originated in tins of chopped ham with pork. If you get any of the emails just delete them, they're Spam.....

How long have you been waiting for Swine Flu as a topic to be brought up again so you can use that old chesnut?

I think most of the schools in my area have it now, mine certainly does. The whole of Birmingham has turned into one gigantic flu party. Glad to have got mine out of the way before the holidays start.

yeah, they just assess you on the phone, if you sound like you have it, they give you the antivirals.
A heads up though - if you think you have it, speak up soon - if you go to them with symptoms after 48 hours after they began they wont give you the antivirals, as apparently they have no effect.

You're infected? I hope us forummers won't catch it from you!

May I suggest a precautionary 2/52 isolation ban from the forum?

If you really have the flu you can barely walk to the bathroom, let alone get on a bike.

That's pretty much what I thought too. But then I thought swine 'flu was something that killed too. Or is it the new thing to have? I don't know I'm just so behind the times darling; I have the plague... but it doesn't stop me riding.

How anybody can say they have flu (even normal flu, let alone swine flu) and ask if they can ride their bike astonishes me.

If you really have the flu you can barely walk to the bathroom, let alone get on a bike.

I was thinking that you would be too ill to even look at a computer.

You have the virus for a few days before the symptoms kick in. - Just turns out you are weaker in this phase than normal., without realising.

I've had proper flu once in my life and I simply couldn't get out of bed for two days. If you can think about getting on a bike then you've just got a heavy cold.
